ALL Non-members must read and sign an Acknowledgement of Risks and Obligations (AOR) at EACH activity. This will be provided by the leader on the day. Below is the wording of the AOR:

1. In voluntarily participating in this activity I am aware that my participation in this Activity may expose me to hazards and risks that could lead to injury, illness or death or to loss of or damage to my property.

2. I am aware of the possible risks identified on the Activity Briefing and Safety Check Form.

3. To minimise these risks I will endeavour to ensure that; this activity is within my capabilities and I am carrying food, water and equipment appropriate for this activity. I have advised the activity leader if I am taking any medication or have any physical or other limitation that might affect my participation in this activity.

4. I will make every effort to remain with the rest of the party during the activity and I will advise the leader of any concerns I am having. I will comply with all reasonable instructions of club officers and the activity leader.

5. I have read and understand these requirements. I have considered the risks before choosing to sign this Acknowledgement of Risk. I still wish to join the activity.

6. I accept that in signing this form I will take responsibility for my own actions and also acknowledge that if I am a temporary member of Newcastle Bushwalking Club it is for the duration of this event only
